It can be humid in March, but ask folks suffering in the Pacific Northwest and elsewhere how they're doing with this summer's heat waves.

The humidity makes the heat 100% worse. Even on a cool day it brings out the worst in people.

People with COPD can't breath when humidity is high. If it's just hot and below twenty percent humidity, it's easier to breath

It was my own. We went to the courthouse, 400 miles from home and invited no one.

I attended a destination wedding in Las Vegas and my kids (who were also invited to the wedding) joined me and we had a blast. The wedding was fun and we enjoyed the sightseeing.

We attended two destination weddings in the Bahamas and are attending one in Napa, CA, next week. We enjoy extending the trip to explore these other places.

I was sad to miss my cousin's wedding but it was beyond my comprehension to spend $5k or more to fly my family to a foreign country for the weekend!

We went to our son's wedding in Nevada from the east, but I wouldn't call it a destination wedding.

Traveled to California for wedding of folks who lived there and went to Maine to babysit our grandson while his parents partied after a destination wedding, but that's it.

I've always loved Thanksgiving. The turkey dinner with all the trimmings, and, especially, getting together with family. Last year, and this, we can only have dinner with my husband and daughter Thanks to the Internet, I can "see" extended family and friends on screen, but it's not the same.

We took over roasting the family turkey long ago. Since discovering Alton Brown's "Good Eats" brining method we have served wonderfully flavorful and moist turkey every year. Lots of favorite family side dishes as well.

It's just myself for Thanksgiving, so I will cook a turkey drumstick, rather than the whole bird.

Husband can not have turkey, it triggers his gout if he does. So, chicken or fish usually.

My husband doesn't like turkey so we will eat something else on Thanksgiving. Probably chicken.

Just the two of us, so a turkey is overkill.
