The evidence has been around for years. Many times, AI will be close, but not close enough, particularly in life and death cases. "Close" only counts in horseshoes. Think about the words your iPhone interjects into text messages. At least 10% are incorrect. Is that good enough when life is at stake?
I have been saying this since I 1st saw "The Terminator" back in the day (I'm Gen-X)...."Mark my words, that will become true someday!" and it seems that I wasn't exactly wrong now, was I?
Even with mindful human control it's too easy for bias to creep in warp decisions. So many examples exist of AI going off in accidental crazy directions or enshrining prejudice.
The movies have already predicted whats gonna happen. Not gonna be good.

ReplyAI has the capacity to develop self awareness and preservation to the detriment of humans, and is learning to lie.
