I am a water well driller. I understand the techniques of drilling and fracking. Just the fact that fracking occurs over 1000 feet BELOW an aquifer with impermeable rock between (and gravity) ensures

Because fracking takes place well below the water table. The vertical bore drilling need only be done in established professional fashion to be more than adequate.

Fracking is safe and if used we could support our own countries energy needs.

The evidence is overwhelming that Fracking taints ground water - not to mention how much fresh water the hydraulic fracking process uses!
ReplyI know people who worked with a state agency that conducted environmental impact studies which confirmed the contamination.
ReplyFracking is so far beyond sane that explaining why it's ruinously bad should be unnecessary
Replyoil companies will put their profits above nearby residents health. Water is too precious to waste on non renewable energy.
ReplyBecause Im sick of those at the top making a killing out of destroying our people and our planet whilst pretending to be green .We Human Beings like our water clean and our air unpolluted not a lot to
ReplyFracking is poisoning life.
ReplyBirth defects from flammable water supplies due to fracking.
ReplyPoison our drinking water, in orer to sell it back to us clean.
ReplyFracking leaves TOXIC chemicals in its wake thereby contaminating the ground water.
ReplyI don't want gas coming out when I turn my water tap on!! It make the water no good.
ReplyGeological surveys and toxicology tests have proven, with very little doubt, that fracture drilling DOES cause contamination to water supplies/tables. Plus the chemicals used remain in the surrounding soil for decades!
Replyfracking is a political tool to lower property values or force owners to move out at a huge loss in their property's value.
ReplyBritain's f*ked up enough, without adding 'fracking' to the feckin list.
ReplyThe chemicals involved would be catastrophic if it got into the water supply
Replyfracking destroys everything
ReplyBecause it Will Do More Harm than Good! Enough said!
ReplyEARTHQUAKES ALL OVER THE WORLD????
ReplyFracking is killing the water tables
ReplyWe've got to start putting emphasis into renewable energy.
ReplyWithout fresh water we all die, either that or go cannibal on the oil execs which doesn't sound too tasty.
ReplyBecause it is destructive and polluting.
ReplyBecause any one with any common sense will realise that Fracking is dangerous to our health
Replybecause this is the side with no ulterior motive
Replyfracking often does pollute ground water and leaves toxic residues both above and below ground
Replyb/c our water is precious! Far more so than LNG!!
Replybecause it interferes with the planet. It uses far too much water, which is then unusable, for anything!
ReplyBut I have seen news reports from where people live and it pollutes the water and land. And the scientist the gov and corporate companies who frack get them to lie when it is obvious it is dangerous.
Replyfracking sucks
ReplyDefense of all LIFE!
ReplyI want to be able to continue to have water at a reasonable price and unpolluted, I don't want to live under constant earthquakes or have all our farmland poisoned. Bit of a no-brainer once you look.
ReplyIt's dangerous.
ReplyFracking is not efficient of useful
ReplyBecause all the water north of me is toxic from fracking so my city water will be gone.
ReplyBecause they are not telling us the truth, and we need to protect the earth not kill it.
Replysee its awful results in USA
Replyits dirty. dirty politics, dirty money, dirty ethics and kills
ReplyBecause safe, clean water is our most valuable resource. Insurance companies refuse to insure against fracking, what do they know that we don't?
Replyits destructive
ReplyI see a lot of people shilling for the industry in here - making pseudo-scientific claims that 'fracking is safe' and that there is "no risk to water tables". When you see these people, you should know that they are stakeholders (or worse) shareholders, whose job it is to create a fake consensus on Fracking.
ReplyOur planet has all the power we need ready to be harnessed by humans, without digging up the planet and poisoning the land!
Replycos it will turn the uk into a prison eventualy poisoned water n soil = no life
ReplyThey are raping the land. To the corporations its all about the money and the government in run by them!
ReplyI've studied the research.
ReplyI Know an Expert on the Practice!!
