I have always been one to plan things. I worked over 50 years serving as a Project Engineer, Program Manager, Emergency Response Manager and Vice President.

I can be spontaneous, given enough time to plan for it. 😉

I plan out my destinations to save gas and plan my day to get the most done.

Vacations to popular and iconic destinations require planning. While making reservations at some of the historic motels on Route 66, I discovered that two of them were booked 18 months out. Walk-ins (non planners) would be turned away.

Since I horseback ride in the Wilderness, it takes planning to do so safely.

If you want to do something that is very popular, you need to book in advance. Otherwise, you risk disappointment.

You might miss something wonderful if you won't do something spur of the moment, that just pops up. Planning is good too, but being rigid to a plan could prevent a happy unplanned event!

I did once. Someone syphoned the gas out of my truck and I was hoping I still had just enough to get 4 miles down the road to the gas station as I didn't have a gas can with me. I got within a half mile so walked the rest of the way, Luckily the owner of the station knew me and loaned me a gas can.

Upon landing in Bend from the MidWest and heading to the coast, I figured I would fill up at the "next highway exit". I started to worry, and on fumes stopped at HooDoo to ask for help (no gps). The lone worker said, "Where are you from?" and kindly filled my tank with gas in the maintenance shed!

In the early 70's the price of fuel was not the only issue. There was not enough.fuel. Stations closed at 6:00 pm. It would not surprise me to see shortages again.

Thats why the Biden administration needs to drill for oil, so it won't happen

NO and we MUST be oil independent, Brandon has done extremely serious damage to this country!!! American oil, not Russian oil or anywhere else. Brandon is begging for foreign oil and getting refused. So its OK to beg for overseas oil but not produce American oil, that is insane !

I don’t believe that my life will have an effect 100 years from now. However, I have wonderful kids. So there may be a chance that they, their kids, or their kids kids may do something really special!
