Hobgoblins
I love both, but Hobgoblins is one of the episodes I show to people to show them how good MST3k is. It helps that the movie itself is genuinely entertaining on its own, because of how bad it is.
Reply ReplyThis is the toughest one yet! I love both episodes, but I have to go with Hobgoblins. The rake scene, the Hobgoblins song, Club Scum, the old man. It has it all. My apologies to where the fish lives.
Reply Reply🎶Pig, sticker🎶 Also, look for the pawn shop worker from Pulp Fiction, if you didn't already notice...
Reply ReplyTougher match up but Hobgoblins is one of my all-time favs. Few could beat it in my book.
Reply ReplyCause "It's" still "the 80's, do a lot of coke and vote for Ronald Reagan!"
Reply ReplyThis really was prime MST3K on Sci-Fi. One of a string of winning riffs and bad movies.
Reply ReplyThis is the ultimate MST3K film. This is an entry level for MSTIES honestly, and brings so much joy
Reply ReplyCause 🎶 "It's the 80's, do a lot of coke & vote for Ronald Reagan!" 🎵
Reply ReplyHobgoblins! Hobgoblins! What do you do with those hobgoblins? They're over here! They're over there! Those darn hobgoblins are everywhere!
Reply ReplyI once tried showing this episode to a girl on a first date. We didn't work out, but there's no reason other prospective couples out there can't bond over some scuzzy strippers and rake fighting!
Reply Reply"...regarded as a RIP off of Gremlins and deemed one of the worst films made of all time" ;-)

What do you get when you fall from grace, you only get cast into perdition .... Clu Galuger wasn't in it but he should have been. And the power of Beez surpassed even that of Satan himself!

Reply"This is where the fish lives."
ReplySoftens the hands as you do the dishes.
ReplyAs much as I love the 80's teen vibe of Hobgoblins, The Touch of Satan has some seriously strong quips and jokes and that damn opening song is so good,
Reply70s > 80s
ReplyI voted this way to keep Gramma and her scabby Gorilla from visiting me.
ReplyHobgoblins is mega-overrated. Besides, who *doesn't* want to visit a walnut ranch on Thanksgiving?
ReplyMaverick driving cloody!

ReplyWere the fish lives is all you need to know oh and old oatmeal face grandma.
Replycome on! this was shot by Jordan Cronenweth!!!
ReplyZAH!!
ReplyHonestly, it's just the one I've seen the least often
ReplyThis is where the fish lives

ReplyBecause this is where the fish live.
ReplyHonestly, I don't like either of these, but I'll take tortuously slow dialogue over derivative puppets (the hobgoblins, not the bots).
ReplyBecause I long to see "where the fish lives." And it's my favorite documentary about walnut farming.
ReplyAs much as I love Hobgoblins, this movie is "where my vote lives".
Replyhobgoblins is just. so. gross.
