Compensation has always been tied to market value. These athletes are worth far more than they're being compensated, and that's been the case for over a century. Hence, they've been ripped off. I support salary, salary cap, and education on how to invest it in 401k style accounts.

It has to fair across the board, from Fordham to Alabama. one monthly stipend for everyone, not just scholarship players. There has to be a limit on how many players all schools should abide by. Determine the national budget and every school must contribute.

Compensation changes the entire dynamic of college athletics, and not in a positive way.

They should be students and NOT professional athletes. If they want to get paid they can go pro. Personally, I believe they should cancel all sports in public schools and colleges though I love our Huskers.

Put myself through school in the 70's. They are getting for exchange of their athletic prowess what I had to work and save for. The two summers after high school I drove alfalfa trucks 12 hours a day 7 days a week. EARN IT!

They already live better than most students. Free room and board, tutors, clothing, and actual education cost.

They are compensated with room and board plus an education. The perks they get as athletes now are unbelievable!!!

Next season would be the season to do it. Pretty good set up schedule wise and we SHOULD have the talent to make it happen.

We replaced 3 coordinators and basically lost our d-line. I haven’t seen any evidence that our o-line will be good next year. We also lost most of our running back room. We’re probably not going to be much better next year than this year.

If Coach Ruhl had made more changes after year 1 (OC, special teams) I would be more optimistic for year 3. But after three games, extra practices, and a bowl game (barely) this year, I haven't seen much to make me think things will be that much better next year.

Very good athlete. Won't make a ton of plays, but can be a serious threat catching the football.

He's an athlete, and a good one. He's to valuable to be sitting on the sidelines. He needs to be part of the rotation.

It just seems he isn't a true QB and maybe this (TE) is where he should have been all along. And now with several leaving the position this could be perfect. Nothing is "hidden" these days.

He needs a lot of time learning how to run behind his pads. If he does not learn that, he is going to get hurt. He also does not come across as a real fluid athlete. Strong and fast for sure but really do not see much flexibility and vision as a runner.

This works if Rhule gets a great qb in the portal. Kaelin didn't play a down even though he could have played in four games. And now he's gone. One blindside sack and Raiola is down for the count and Haaberg is back at qb. I do give Haaarberg an extra A for effort as always.
