A short term rental is being rented to a tourist. A houseless shelter invites more trouble to the area. Drugs run ramped in and around these places. As well as crime.

i would rather we didn't have homeless camps/squatters and such in our neighborhood. Stop with the hand outs.

The rental may cause problems for a few days. Shelter will be everyday.

Short term rental occupants often have little regard for the property. They have no prideof place. It's not their's. It's somebody else's prblem as far as taxes, insurance and liability. People in a homeless shelter are more likely to be appreciative and respectful of the space offered.
