But only if it was fully enforced.

Yes , I believe if you make it inconvenient for homeless people to set up camp , they will move on to another city. I do support homeless situations , if they take responsibility by checking into drug free shelters.

Most of what I hear on the news is about the homeless people, not much is reported on the infringement, the stress, nuisance, violence, drug use, filth and garbage that the decent law abiding, tax paying citizens are forced to endure! They need to stop enabling bad behavior! The focus seems wrong!

Exactly! The ban would work if aggressively enforced otherwise the result will be another Hunnell Rd, Juniper Ridge, China Hat, etc, etc.. With over 1500 calls to Bend PD for Hunnell Rd, how can this be called humane? The USFS should enact the same ban against free extended camping.

A camping ban may reduce the homeless tourism numbers or their length of stay, but the remaining homeless will simply become more emboldened about violating existing restrictions.

So you have to move every 24 hours, that's not a actual camping ban! How about provide them jobs like picking up trash, farning

I do not want meth heads working. They are dangerous enough already. And the ones that aren't junkies have ample opportunities for jobs and shelter, they choose not to.

Build more homeless shelters and ban camping, Tina Kotak needs to get rid of measure 110

They seem to be focused only on the homeless, instead of helping honest, tax paying productive citizens. No homeowner or renter should ever have to put up with trash, noise, drug use or drug transactions, mentally ill people, damages any where near their property! The focus now is backwards!

This is bigger than the funds needed to resolve it. It's multifaceted, includes the desire for many of the homeless to live like they do, drug addictions, and mental illness. People don't want to be forced to conform.

Success so far in Bend with Veterans Village, Lighthouse, safe parking program, St. Vincent dePaul. More expected with Central Oregon Villages 27th St. facility and Rainbow Motel. Still more needs to be done, of course. But that's a promising start. This is a national humanitarian crisis.

I see the movement of groups and the numbers are manageable. Things can be improved by having no tolerance for illegal drug abuse. The young drug addicted should be put into forced programs to recover. Mentally ill need to be institutionalized if they cannot care for themselves. Economic get help

Sadly, republicans won't put one cent towards social programs. The GOP loves to control their masses by keeping them uneducated and poor.

Guess I'm not the only one who answers NO, 97% does! Did you get that Bend city council? YOU and your buddies in Salem are ENABLING HOMELESSNESS and making Bend the Premier Homeless & Fentanyl Resort in the country.

California and many other states offer nothing. So the more Oregon offers them, the more of these out of state homeless will be drawn here.

Mary Rose Place is the latest Bend Street being taken over by the homeless, with more derelict RVs and mounting garbage. How many more streets will the City donate to the homeless? Progress? The exact opposite!!!!

Throwing good money after bad will not solve the problem. Until drugs are a criminal offence, people are held accountable and free services are stopped, problem will just become worse.

Did you know that there are more empty, perfectly good, houses in this country than there are homeless people?

That is absolutely untrue. And as a man of God and Jesus, instead of acting holier than thou, get off your butt and do something to help them.
