I support President Trump for standing up for the Americans. Sloppy Joe just kept giving Ukraine the money and equipment. What the democrats that don't realize and have no common sense is that there are a lot of Americans that can't even pay for their rent and/or groceries. Think about it.
ReplyWe been helping and helping. But if the roles were reversed who is to say who would have our backs ?
ReplyThose that continue to support Ukraine what is your solution to end the fighting? It is only through diplomacy that we can reach a conclusion.
ReplyThose who reduce the situation to “Putin/Russia bad, Zelenskyy/Ukraine good” haven’t been listening. Zelenskyy sold out his own country in back room deals with Hunter and The Big Guy. Now he wants NATO to risk WW3 to keep him in power. He could achieve peace and security for his country tomorrow.
ReplyWe shouldn’t be on Russia’s side on this one. Maybe we have sent a disproportionate amount of aid over to Ukraine, but we can’t sit by and let Russia take over countries by force.
ReplyWe are not on Russia side, we are on America's side and ending that war is in America's best interest. Plus, when you see multiple videos of young men being pulled from the streets in the Ukraine to be forces to the front lines, no, enough death. End it.
Putin should take his military out of Ukraine. He is not going to do that if he thinks Ukraine will stop fighting. Trump wants Ukraine to just stop fighting, plus he wants to steal their mineral resources while he is at it. Ukraine is a free and independent country and I support their fight.
ReplyI support democracy and human rights. I remember when Republicans stood up to Russia. Now they bend over to Russia.
ReplyWe are showing ourselves to be unfaithful friends, siding with criminal murderers, and promoting lies in order to justify an immoral position.
Replytrump is slowing eroding our freedoms and eliminating our three part government by all he has done so far in office.
ReplySeems like this brutal attack on President Zelensky was preplanned. Trump needs to get his nose out of Putin's backside and on the side of America, I fear that the US is heading for a dictatorship under this very unqualified administration. trump and vance were totally wrong for bullying President Z
ReplyIf the world surrenders Ukraine, it will only be a matter of time before Russia attacks another country, just like Hitler did.
ReplyI disagree, please review the history of the area for more than one or two sources. It's time for this war to end, too many lives have been lost.
If this were any other democratic nation in the world there would be no cost for higher education at all in the first place. We are the only free nation that discriminates against people getting a higher education based on wealth.
ReplyAgreed, but it goes beyond wealth. Education is an investment in the future of the entire country. Look at most of the other responses here. People who want to destroy the country to protect a bad-haired 80 year old celebrity. Maybe $10K in student loans would have opened their minds
Schools were paid to force us to take out those predatory loans. How many other institutions do you know of that will loan hundreds of thousands of dollars to 18yos knowing they’ll get guaranteed gov money? Knowing we can’t file bankruptcy over it? We’ll be paying off interest alone until we die.
ReplyEducation is the basis of any society. Yet more so in a democracy. If any should wish to vote in a informed manner in a democracy they must support education for everyone. Limiting education, is limiting the vote. And likely why the disinterest in voting. Not even 60% voted in the last election.
ReplyThis will cause more inflation and cause a deeper recession and the taxpayers will pay for it
There is free education Serve your Country get free education and college help We should never give something for nothing that is why we are in this situation.
These are some of the people who will probably default on other bills and then want taxpayers to bail them out. They signed the contract to repay their student loan and they should be held accountable.
It's not fair to the parents who paid for their children's college educaiton nor to the people who have already paid off their student loans. And it will not improve the economy.
ReplyThe obvious solution is to refund those parents rather than continue to let millions suffer under the weight of predatory loans. Some have paid faithfully for years only to discover they’ve never even touched the principal amount, only interest.
Old Trump voter shaking her fist at the sky and asking why her own dreams got thrown out in an unrecyclable ripple bottle 40 years ago.
Taxpayers shouldn't be saddled with debts like this. This is totally unfair to all those who paid off their own debts as well as all those who didn't take out student loans.
ReplyWhat is the precedent moving forward? I paid my student loan. Get a job, live within your means, and don't expect the American tax payer to pay your debt. You took the loan out, figure out how to pay it off
ReplyHow is this fair to all Americans? More division between people caused by goverment
Reply3 Reasons. 1. People took the money and agreed to pay it back. They need to fulfill their agreement. 2. The vast majority of current student debt is for graduate school, not from people getting thier undergraduate degree. 3. Government analysis shows that higher income people would benefit most.
ReplyTreatment... What we're currently doing is allowing the addicted to die a slow death. It's time to bring those who are suffering in their addiction into a facility that can determine whether or not you can do life sober on your own or need assistance. Leaving Americans under Tarps is INHUMANE.
ReplyThough we should look at why it's so expensive in the first place, prices have skyrocketed. It's totally unreasonable.
ReplyYep schools charge more every year because they know they’re getting guaranteed money from the government. The textbooks rearrange 3-4 pages, slap a new edition number on it, then require students to pay $300+ for it all over again. Then you “sell it back” and get MAYBE $20 in return.
No one forced the students to take the loans, and now everyone else has to pay for them? The bigger priority is taking the "Print Money" button away from the Democrats!!!
ReplyThey actually did force us. Schools were paid to get students signed up. They took us all into the computer lab and made us go thru the application step by step. Got in trouble if we didn’t. How many other ppl do you know get that excited to loan money to 18yos? Except maybe criminals?
Absolutely not ! What kind of a message does this send, no need to take responsibility for your actions and just a political ploy to buy votes for midterms. Administration said this would happen right away but waited till now. Just like the inflation bill. Slap in the face to working Americans.
ReplyA "loan" is an agreement to repay. I attended as I could afford my college education. I paid my kid's way so they could attend without using loans. If someone can't afford their education, they should wait or pause their education.
ReplyI paid back every penny of the student loans that I took out many years ago. Besides, I question the legality of this being a function of the executive branch of our government.
ReplyEven though this helps my daughter it does not help this generation with responsibility.
ReplyThey have lost their minds. No we should not. They don't have any concept of basic economics or personal responsibility. Brandon is only trying to buy votes this November.
