It’s really a toss-up for me. I love both of them, but I always admired Gene’s desire to champion comedy, musicals, and other “light” entertainment for his best-of-year lists. A staunch thumbs-down for Apocalypse Now? HOW?! But Wayne’s World making best of 1992 is a total power move!

Willpower is the Lantern emotion on which Batman most relies. While fear is a tool he uses greatly in his early days, soon enough the initial effect wears off, as Batman becomes a known entity, abiding by a code. However, he remains effective due to his drive and discipline, whether feared or not.
