The news didn't specify exactly if the new law would be beneficial to the old cases or worse, so hard to say. But, in general, I would say they should be retroactive.

Personally they should have let the law stand the way it was. Stop pampering criminals!

There are people on Oregon's death row that should be executed. Why you ask? Because the voters mandated those be punished for their crimes. Why should one person be allowed to dictate law?

I don't like the new rule, so I really don't want it to be retroactive too.

Nope! Start with a clean-forward slate. And, by all means reinitiate capital punishment for all heinous crimes! Send a message to all who may try but won't considering the dire consequences!

It shouldn't be applied to any cases. We the people voted to have the death penalty in Oregon and voted against eliminating it. Kate Hitler had no right to change things.

That was the punishment when they committed the crime, that is the punishment they should receive. If punishments were stricter, criminals might think twice before committing the crime

There should be no restrictions. Most trials happen with in 6 months of the arrest. After convictions they get 12 months for appeals and then thats it. Chair, gas or shots

Safe parking programs have a proven track record of successfully taking people from being homeless into having a place of their own. Safe parking programs cut down on costs to cities for ambulance calls, police calls, visits to emergency rooms and mental health crises that costs taxpayers money.

Perhaps? Hiding the un-housed in various random locations doesn't solve much. This is just another band-aid solution! Seems just the latest adaptation of "kicking the can down the road"...?

People should not have to put up with annoying intrusive lights that inconsiderate neighbors install
