I would think the Democrats would want to know exactly where their illegal basis is, so they can move it where it is needed. Republicans want it, so they know how many the tax payers are supporting.

It helps people 70 years from now learn more about their ancestors. It helped me learn about my great grandfather. He immigrated to the US in 1860 and became a citizen in 1880 approximately.

the Congressional districts should be based on number of citizens not population since not all can vote; and the census does not collect info which might affect privacy

Because ONLY American citizens should vote on American issues. No other country would allow a non citizen to vote. Why is this even an issue?

It's not asking if you are here legally -- just if you are a citizen. What's wrong with that?

yes! Illegals won’t fill it out. So their votes shouldn’t count.

The Constitution states that all inhabitants should be counted--not just citizens.

Why should we include illegals when they are incapable of running their own government.

Because Oregon receives federal funding for each resident, whether a citizen or not. Would you rather turn away federal money?

It would be nice to have accurate #s, reflecting everyone; however, folks here legally, but not citizens, like the Dreamers, risk being deported under Trump. Until there are safeguards vs. that, No.

The purpose of a census is to count ALL people present, not just some.

Exactly! This awful man should never be allowed to own animals for the rest of his life! Once an abuser, always an abuser. No matter that he is a vet. It doesn't excuse this abusive behavior, especially over tiny dogs!

I don't think he should get his dogs back until a psych eval is done and he's deemed ok to own an animal. I also think that your reporter's continued hounding of him for an interview after he clearly declined was appropriate or professional.
