This would be asking undocumented immigrants to 'out' themselves, and risk being deported. That's not fair, especially if they're on a path to citizenship.

I would think the Democrats would want to know exactly where their illegal basis is, so they can move it where it is needed. Republicans want it, so they know how many the tax payers are supporting.

ReplyIt helps people 70 years from now learn more about their ancestors. It helped me learn about my great grandfather. He immigrated to the US in 1860 and became a citizen in 1880 approximately.
Replythe Congressional districts should be based on number of citizens not population since not all can vote; and the census does not collect info which might affect privacy
