I have been a local forester for forty years and i saw the fire uptick at the same time as the forestry downturn

Need to resume selective logging and replanting forest will bring back healthy forests and create more jobs..

Logging, either selective or clear cut. But make sure the slash is picked up and the areas replanted. It will also create much needed jobs.

Logging, like in the old days..They logged, cleaned up and moved on.. pretty simmple

We did not have these serious fires before the ban on logging went into action.

I am from Colorado. I left Colorado because I had to "bug out" more than once. We had large acreage and sorry to say it was mismanaged. McLeod means well but Greg Walden has been hands on. He knows.

As long as there are no new costs to homeowners. Increase other taxes that everyone shares...gas, alcohol, cigarettes, whatever. Just don't even think about trying to bleed more $$ from homeowners!

We live in Sisters. We would not be able to get over the pass to get to Portland in the winter without ODOT. This is irresponsible and dangerous!
