I wouldn't because of the very real possibility of it also changing who I am mentally. Power may not be worth it if you cease to be yourself in the process and, to top it off, become an evil being.

It would be a good wake up penalty to those who drive and drink. It is likely that this is not the first incident of drinking and driving. Treatment could/should be sought.

A first DUI is often a fluke, and the penalties of that alone will motivate drivers to refrain from getting another.
