A first DUI is often a fluke, and the penalties of that alone will motivate drivers to refrain from getting another.

Agree with others
ReplyIt would be a good wake up penalty to those who drive and drink. It is likely that this is not the first incident of drinking and driving. Treatment could/should be sought.
