While the symbiote suit is a great design and leads to many an excellent story point, the red and blue is absolutely THE Spider-Man costume, no question! Even if you like aesthetic, the way the symbiote causes Peter to act is certainly not ideal for Spidey. It is also now more associated with Venom.

Because it's the original the one that started it all

It looks cool in the comics and the show, but emo Tobey Maguire is the worst thing ever. We just don’t talk about that.

My favorite superhero costume of all time, but mainly the design, it doesn't have to be the symbiote Peter wore a fabric version for a couple of years

IMO, Bonesaw is better-suited for a spinoff "movie," as his profession of pro-wrestling is both more cinematic and lends to action set-pieces that would help break up the drama there'd be otherwise (ala "The Wrestler" or "Rocky"/"Creed"). Mr. Ditkovich, I feel, would work better on a TV sitcom.

The Mr. Dinkovich movie would be awful! A bone saw movie would be awesome!

I’m fine watching either one but this film has better moments and more interesting failures

Epic lightsaber duels and nostalgia factor.

In my opinion, "The Force Awakens" was, as George approximates it, a "nostalgic" movie that, imo, for the first time since the prequels, regressed the franchise. "The Phantom Menace," (and KOTOR) pushed the needle forward, rethinking what Star Wars could be, adding many iconic elements to the lore.

The other two sequel movies ruined Force Awakens for me, and at least with Phantom Menace I fall asleep every time I watch it, so I get to see about the first half, which is nice.

The way George made his films feel like a 1930s Shakespearean serial is astounding, and Phantom Menace is both fun and thought provoking in its narrative. Now this is Star Wars!

The prequels are the Star Wars films I grew up with. While The Force Awakens is probably an objectively better film, how the Sequel Trilogy turned out as a whole ruins the films individually for me. Phantom Menace is just pure nostalgia for me. Plus pod racing and that final light saber duel!

The prequels are amateurishly made.

Even though its a rehash of ANH its still more entertaining to watch than the phantom menace.

Despite a weak finish in its respective trilogy it was a very promising start that has alotta enjoyable moments vs moments or characters I dread rewatching.

The characters in this for more fleshed out and are given their own identity, voice, and goal. Not all character share the same goal even Rey and Finn as they are together but clearly want different things for themselves. Finn's arc in this film alone is great especially. Acting is far better too.
