It is possible, they have to win turnover margin in every game. That is easier said than done.

Every B1G West team has their issues. No West team has clearly better talent than NU. It is time for SF & Co. to deliver. I think they will.

They're due right? And since I'm 42, and used to us winning 9 games every year for most of my life why would I change my expectation now? 8-4, win the bowl game, 9-4. Should be the minimum expectation for every Nebraska fan. Always! Then with playoff expansion coming, let's get in the mix!! GBR

Of the 3 things needed to win; player acquisition, development and deployment, acquisition is the best predictor of future success. By far in fact. Our roster is built because of great recruiting, development and roster management. It's really kinda all on the coaches to deploy well. If they do, yes

1. Who runs and catches? 2. AM may get hurt. 3. No ability to win 50:50 games or even ones where favored. 4. Field position and turnovers. 5. Most worrisome is moronic position from HCSF regarding vaccination. How do we get through season without loss of key players or need to forfeit?

A 7 win season would mean the best Husker team since the T Magic era, or maybe further back than that. This schedule is loaded and the B1G isn’t a cakewalk either. Only sure win is Fordham. I’ll be happy as long as they get a bowl game this year

Even with the difficult schedule they have the talent to get 8 wins. Unfortunately, this will also take team execution, discipline and a swagger we have yet to see. I'm hoping for 6 wins and a bowl. Anything more is gravy.

Huskers have not shown ability to beat even avg teams and are much more likely to LOSE one of the games they should win. then upset a team that they are underdogs in. This looks like a bubble 6 win team, at best.

Columbo would approach the offense and say "One more thing" Clearly the culture problems are on the offense. Defense is improving, how about the offense? Who is transferring after being important players now or the near future? How many offensive players came back for the bonus year? Defense? Hmmm

12-20. We are squarely in "until it shows up on the field, it isn't fixed" territory. I am not holding my breath. The problems this team has on the field are largely because the HC doesn't know how to HC.

I think Coach Frost has done a good job off pealing off all the duct tape and cleaning up the off-field and locker room cancer. The wins come once the culture and buy-in is accepted and expected by everyone.

Kids are different today. some with superiority complexes before they have achievement. Thus, a much harder group to coach. Unless Scott goes back to Nebraska Brawn (Linemen), power running (with current offensive scheme), we'll have trouble, and skill players will go elsewhere.

Football success is complicated (- making Devaney/Osborne/Solich era an exceptional achievement!). Culture affects everything - it is both tangible (behaviors) and intangible (norms). Norms strongly influence behavior, ergo, a healthy obsession with excellence MUST be the norm- I don't see this???

Winning solves a lot of things. Most likely every team has issues. Students aren't as intense as they were years ago. Too many distractions to expect 100% buy-in. Senior leadership must get better. What of the culture of the coaches? HCSF, please stop referring to them as 'kids' all the time.

No one likes to lose. A winning culture comes from actually winning. It is a lot easier to get up for those early lifting sessions when you see the results on the field. It is a lot easier to get ready for that tough game against a tough opponent when you think you can beat them.

Instant gratification and lack there of is the major problem. A lot of dead weight has been cut from the team by personal choice or the coaches choice. The vote to not play in the bowl game said a lot about the past culture. Most of those "leaders" are gone. Lets see how this year plays out.

These issues are so overblown, the transfers hurt but can be understood, foregoing the bowl game made sense, what does a bowl game do for the team when it's a fly in, fly out situation. The proposed cancellation of the Okla. was a mistake but far overblown.
