The coaching staff and new players deserved to have the 5 games until Oct. 1 to jell into a team. I hate knee jerk reactions and bowing down to a rich donor.

If you are not going to make new hires before the end of the season anyway, what was the purpose in firing them now? It will be interesting to see how the offense performs, but I can't see this as beneficial.

The defense has made progress. The offense not so much. The real problem is Frost's dedication to Martinez. Adrian is a great guy, but his minuses exceed his pluses.
ReplyYep, it needed to happen, just like it would at KU for basketball. Nebraska is still a blueblood in football for now and below mediocrity is not acceptable. Scott got more than his fair chance.
ReplyWe are at a point of desperation. What do we have to lose at this point? I really thought Scott was our guy and I hate the idea of starting over again. But there was something wrong with Scott. When he spoke at press conferences, he had no passion, no energy, and his eye contact was poor.
ReplyThe production was there from those coaches. Better to make the decision then, so you can still have a positive impact with recruiting.
ReplyI imagine the transfer portal had a lot to do with the timing.
ReplyIt had to be done and it clear that things are going to happen at NU.
ReplyThe team was not going to become better with their existing staff. Make the cut and start improving.
