Commented "I don't see why they don't use the same basic practice routine as Osborne did. NE has many more players at practice than virtually anyone else due to our walk on program. No one "stood around" much at Osborne's practices. He has made the point in his books that the large number of players due to walkons was a significant advantage in that they could have multiple stations going at the same time. By splitting up into Team Red and Team white a bunch of starters are not going to get any practice time with the other starters that they will actually be on the field with this fall."

Commented "Most coaches hired at the end of the football season don't do as well as the fired coach in the prior year. Riley and staff did about the same as Pelini and staff last year."
