There are too many illegal people that are not being vetted not being checked for diseases just let loose in our country on the premise that they show up for their hearing. There is a legal way to do this, and it's not fair to those who have done it the right way.

It all comes down to votes. This is the future of the democrat party.

It is not really a political question. It is a question of security. We have none. We are wide open for a terrorist attack. The last major one resulted in 20 years of war.

It's both Political, and a security breach. The illegal immigrants that crossed the border in December alone, is only 5,000 less people that live in Boone, Callaway, and Cole counties combined. Biden has launched a war, against the United States of America. Our National Debt just exceeded 34 billion

It should be a major issue with anyone who locks their doors when they sleep. Anyone with common sense would know that, that's why Biden does not know that.

It is definitely an issue. It's too bad Republicans want to KEEP it an issue to campaign on rather than negotiate with Democrats to fix the problem.

As a teacher, I have literally received dozens of Venezuelan students into my classroom. They are great! The work is hard, but that’s what we all need to do. We need to view people as assets not deficits.

Not an issue. Nature has no borders. When was the last time a goose was shot because it had crossed the border illegally?

Democrats are insisting on concessions related to health care policy (specifically extending Affordable Care Act health insurance subsidies) to reopen the government. Republicans argue for a "clean" funding bill without these policy changes.

It's beautiful. Trump is getting rid of the fake workers Biden hired, and AOC will Primary Schumer. Winner winner, chicken dinner.

As every 8th grade Civics student knows, it takes 60 votes to end the Schumer Shutdown. Since we only have 53 Republicans, we must have a handful of Senate Democrats

Trump is ending wars, getting hostages released, after nearly 2 years, while Schumer is holding the US taxpayers hostage, for free medical care for illegal aliens, while our own citizens have to pay for medical care.

Wish I could vote for both. This shutdown is a game both sides are playing. I want to roll up a newspaper and smack 'em both.

Republicans could easily say yes to extending subsidies for Americans and no to the other provisions. If Dems say “no” then it’s on them. Not much compromising is going on.

I don't believe that the ACA causes a significant amount of money to go to healthcare for illegal immigrants
