Lavonte David was a difference maker. He was extremely explosive and had unbelievable ball instincts. He single handedly turned the momentum around in the 2011 Ohio State game!

His hit during the OSU game in Lincoln. Tackle, strip, turnover. Changed the whole direction of the game.

Ruud was solid, but David was a play maker

He, like Suh, could change a game by himself. He was a disrupt-er, smart and had an uncanny ability to seem to know where the play was going. Ruud was great also but imagine David wt 4 years here!

Dude was a beast, wish we had him for 4 years. Ruud was great, but David's ability has also transferred to the NFL very well.

We have talent in the room. They will have the same learning curve that Emmett had. He was an average back at the beginning of last season and look how he blossomed. That said, if a solid back is available, take him of course

Nebraska is a 3rd Tier team in the BIG 10 and an after thought nationally and our expectations for recruiting should reflect that. With the powers in the BIG 10 nationally Nebraska's "good old days..." are just. Swept into the dust bin of what once was...Sorry, but...it's the truth as I see it.

The coaches can only do so much. It's the players who have to get the job done. It may be time to start looking for a new quarterback. Mahomes is not getting the job done. Just a thought.

The coaches aren't at fault if the players don't catch the ball or drop it. The coaches figure out the plays and it is the team's responsibility to make them. The coaches are doing their jobs.

I think some work needs put in, but a new coaching staff doesn't seem like the answer.
