The game had passed by Al Davis. It was time for a change. Mark Davis is learning on the job, but he is a breath of fresh air for a team that needed a massive overhaul.

Considering what Mark (and Reggie) inherited, they've done a fantastic job. Granted, there have been missteps (Flynn, Ponder, etc.), but overall, they're doing things right and are building a solid core of young, talented players. I tend to agree with the pundits who say they are still a year away.

Why not, based upon what they have accomplished the past two games? They certainly have the talent and desire to achieve those goals.

As long as Carr, Cooper and Crabtree, and aided by Murray's running game continues to grow, they should be in the top ten, by seasons' end. They'll hit a bump or two, but every team is going to have those weeks. They already had one, in week one.

The young looks as if they are jelling well, and understanding each other. The O-Line is getting better each week as well.

They still have to play the Broncos and Chiefs twice, as well as the Packers and other pretty good teams. They are feasting on average defenses right now.

Need to play an elite defense before I can anoint them a top 10 Offense
