To turn the shambles of the previous week into a competitive professional looking performance was more than could be hoped for. The offense showed just how much potential it has, Amari Cooper the most pro ready receiver to ever come out of college. Defense hung in there and made just enough plays.

2 Reasons. 1) The defense was still inept. Mack thrived last year playing WLB. Matching him up on LT all the time from the line without allowing him a running start is foolish.

Offense, A- Defense D-, overall I think that amounts to a B-. Offense can win some games for the Raiders, but they won't win very many if the defense doesn't improve in every way.

I think they're still a bit unpredictable. They have to learn how to win consistently when going east. Let me see them win two road games in a row, then I'll start believing in greater things. And, by the way, the Jets game is very winnable.
