Keaton did an absolutely incredible job standing there not saying anything and looking cool. That’s top tier acting deserving of unmeasurable praise. Really embodies the character perfectly. 89 is the best movie ever made. High art.

Keatons performance is great but Val Kilmer had more to work w/ writting wise.kilmers batman is very underrated.

My personal 2nd favorite Batsuit (the Panther one). Talks, acts, and reacts the way I would expect Batman to from the shows/comics. Is a more determined, principled Batman that seemed to consciously preserve the lives of his enemies and exemplified the compassionate side of Batman by taking in Dick.

He actually looks like a muscly person under the suit, also looks more wise less angry, both have the big lips problem though haha

You knew this was on the right path the minute Jordan Peele was announced as writer and producer & he made the right call bringing in Nia DaCosta to direct. Its obvious both are very in touch with what Candyman is and represents at its core & because of that they find ways to elevate the material overall. Add in DaCosta's beautiful (and bloody) visual style & this functions as a near perfect sequel reboot, so much so that I think it improves the original! Very smart, very clever and very very Candyman! This is how you rejuvenate a franchise! Show Less

The fact that this movie understands what makes Candyman, Candyman is why it 100% lives up to the OG. Peele and DaCosta don't do anything to ruin the Candyman story, but this is yet another movie that we didn't need & the original is just far and away better. There are less scares & less gore, and the presence of Candyman is very different in this story, just didn't quite hit for me. In the world of Candyman, there can be only one & his name is Tony Todd, period end of sentence. Show Less

Dumbledore is supposed to be the greatest most POWERFUL wizard of all time. Richard Harris was a jewel but Gambon captured the essence of Rowling’s character.

The duel with Voldemort in OoP and the firestorm at end of HBP were masterpieces that I feel Gambon was may more suited to portray than Harris.

This is the most frequent feedback I get from friends by far. They just feel that Harris could not have pulled those scenes off like Gambon did.
