Its just too much, I think casual audiences will get confused and means lots of these stories wont stand on their own. Part of the reason my friends cant get into comics is trying to keep track of all the multiverse stuff im worried this will do the same to what has til now been a good gateway.

As much as I like Michael Keaton, having to cram in his Batman just shows Warner has no confidence in their movie Cheap fanservice and marketing ploy The Flash movie should be about The Flash

Yes cause the only reason people are interested in this movie is because of keaton coming back not because of millers flash.

I'll echo some folks in saying if it were not for 89 Batman returning, I'd be much less excited about this film. Instantly goes from a maybe I'll catch it on Netflix to day 1 in theatres.. Alternatively, they could have just made a Crisis/multiverse film and I would have watched it for Keaton.

But do you HAVE TO watch the movie then? Michael Keaton can't compensate for a bad The Flash movie since it should be about The Flash
1.) The multiversal twists will help to differiate it from the now definitive CW Flash. 2.) This Flash actually had (imo) great chemistry with his Batman (Affleck), so pairing him with another makes some sense. 3.) Audiences were not sold on Miller's Flash, so Keaton will likely drive ticket sales.

Multiverse feels like the next logical step for the MCU after the big crossovers we've gotten . However i dont want all the films to deal with it and we tell cool stories using it thats what made the avengers films great was the stories told not just its a crossover therefore like it.
Replymcu bringing out Venom and Carnage so having a cross over would be cool
ReplyNot gonna pretend like it's great, but there are at least two films I would have no interest in otherwise(Flash and MCU Spider Man) I know it's a gimmick, but I'm still excited.
ReplyAt this point, I'm still excited, mainly because revisiting the fan-favorite universes involved excites me far more than just the status quo of either the MCU or DCEU. As of yet, the multiverse only seems to be effecting 2 films in the MCU and 1 in the DCEU, so I don't think it's played out, yet.
