Remember the scene where Will Smith flies his plane through the canyon?

I have a lot more fun watching Independence Day. As a Canadian even I can’t help but root for America to kick ass at the end when the president gives his speech. Mars Attacks has always come across like more of a modern Tim Burton film to me. It’s all style and the rest just doesn’t matter.

Independence Day is cheesy and entertaining, I think Mars Attacks is a bit too cynical

I don't look at reviews to help me decide, I usually wait until I've seen something a couple of times then I watch a review or two.

It’s really both for me. I listen to the general consensus of professionals, and then I watch a few YouTubers I like

I’ll also add that it’s very rare for me to have not made up my mind already if I was seeing something or not. Usually I watch the YouTubers only after I’ve seen it myself or decided I’m not seeing — if it’s the latter, they could potentially change my mind

Not by much, tho. People will always have a bias or agenda, be it monetary, political, or just to get on a bandwagon. I voted this way because bias in Independent creators isn't a systemic problem like it is in professional circles. It all comes down ti the individual here.

Nothing against the big professionals, I just have my go-to guys (who just happen to be smaller names) and know how their opinions align with mine (at least most of the times).

Product placement often seems less organic. Like in the Amazing movies where everyone has a Sony everything. And this is coming from the one guy who had a Sony everything, and I can assure you that everyone else did not! Pop songs I think can be well incorporated and actually enhance the scene.

Product placement was never a big deal for me.
