Unless they have a TRULY medical reason for not getting vaccinated, they should. More and more young people (teens) are being hospitalized with Covid, So yes they should be vaccinated. Other (early childhood) vaccines are required! Why not for another disease??

How many cases of polio do we hear about these days? Don't want your kids vaxxed? Home school.

Vaccinations use to readily accepted until social media disinformation turned some brains to mush. COVID will probably continue due to the utter ignorance of some people.

Not for such things. For things like MMR where there is a long history and proof of saving lives and reducing child mortality then yes.

Children have a 98 % chance of surviving covid so why would you give them a vaccine with potential side effects

It should be up to each parent/student. Children are not at risk for Covid, so why inject them with a non FDA approved vaccine unnecessarily? That is not in THEIR best interest. This vaccine has not been out long enough to possibly know any long term effects.

This is almost as bad as forced abortion. I chose to get vaccinated, but believe people should be able to make their own decision.

ANYONE that require ANYONE to have vaccines need to be held responsible if something happens. There could be several law suits that come from it.

It's not about freedom of expression it's about societal responsibility, We would still have smallpox, typhoid fever, measles to mention with the attitudes some people have.

I am assuming Deschutes County has a population of a quarter million and only 74 people have died in over a year. Requiring vaccinations is putting millions into the pockets of millionaires. I am sure they are already working on the next virus.

No, it's illegal to force an experimental drug on people for any reason... and the schools that require this are asking for some major lawsuits!!

Reply

It's not experimental. The vaccine is a tweak in an already established SARS vaccine. It took weeks. The reason it took a year was for human testing for dosage, efficacy rate etc. It's not an experimental drug, it's a new one.

Far too many people have died from this virus already. Universities should comply with the federal mandates. Only by being vaccinated can we slow down this pandemic

We cannot stop the spread of COVID-19 without being vaccinated. Vaccine mandates have been around in this country for many years, and as many deaths that have been caused by COVID-19 I don't understand why there's so much animosity towards getting the vaccine to stop these senseless deaths.

750,000 covid deaths in the US, with population of 331,000,000 people. 5,000,000 covid deaths in the world, with population of 7,900,000,000 people. Why would we have four times the death rate in a modern nation with good medical care, than third world countries? Because it is a lie. That's why.

Sensible people use the science and the real data. Liberals use the lie-ence and fake data. Real numbers don't lie.

Freedom of choice, also the vaccines are far less effective than previously thought, they mostly are experimental still and there are side effects. Why mandate free will for choices that can affect our personal bodily future health?

Vaccines save lives! Period!!! I'm vaccinated and yes, I got covid-19. I had a very bad case of it. Had I not git the vaccine, chances are I'd be DEAD! Vaccines don't guarantee you won't get covid. They sure can reduce the symptoms and save your life though.

Though I am fully vaccinated, I still need to protect against a breakthrough infection from the Delta variant. In which case, I would not be sick, but would still be infectious and capable of infecting someone who is immunocompromised,--or unvaccinated. Let's fight the virus, not each other.

Only when there are children present and cannot distance until the vaccines have been approved for children under 12. If parents do not wish to vaccinate their children I do hope they have taught them healthy habits and Universal precautions.

Mask have not proven effective at stoping covid. They cause headaches, acne, breathing issues and other issues. I am tired of small businesses being shut down while places like Walmart and Amazon have profited from the pandemic. I am tired of being lied to. No more mandates or mask or closures!

We have known since last year children are of effectively zero risk. They are also not effective at spreading the virus. Plenty of examples of schools without masks not increasing general rates of community spread. None are providing statistics/scientific studies supporting mask demands for kids.

The real choice: Vaccinate or Die? If you are a Patriot/Revolutionary, you are vaccinated. If you're NOT, I believe that person's Health Insurance premiums should increase to $10,000 per month and disqualify the Individual from Subsidized Health Care. No more enabling "Stupid".
