Why is this a question? For thousands of years this as been used to create better crops. It looks like someone in your station is trying to create a controversy without checking the facts.

Humans have been cross pollinating and hybridizing plants and animals since time immemorial. I'd bet a lot of what we eat is the result of cross pollinating and hybridizing. Of course I'd try them.

What's the harm? We're not talking GMO, that's different. Just think about the apple varieties you eat, like the popular Honeycrisp. Don't you think that is the result of cross-pollination??
