To change uniforms, take away 'stop and frisk' authority, and rescind their authority to arrest people or investigate crime vastly undermines a security officer's ability to help keep a campus safe.

Campus police should be real police. The training and screening of these officers should be the same as any other police officer, and be held to the same standard.

The security officers give off the impression that they are equal to the police. People can be intimidated by this. They are there to help but they need to call in real authorities when needed.
