YES! We need another multi-tiered parking deck closer to the west side of downtown. the existing one is too far to walk from in bad weather or if you are elderly or incapacitated.

Face it, Bend is not the wonderful town it used to be. It's a big city with big city issues and mind sets. It will only get worse. Next they'll want to put meters in to "pay for fixing the problem".

Why is there not designated parking for trucks? They create dangerous driving through town! Bend is so far behind this problem!

That is one of the reasons I never go there. The other is because of all the derelicts.

I stopped going downtown to shop or eat a couple of years ago because of the parking. People are rude don't hesitate when you try backing out unless they want your space. Big trucks are problem also!

Do you think this suspect should be allowed to keep his dogs as his case unfolds?

Exactly! This awful man should never be allowed to own animals for the rest of his life! Once an abuser, always an abuser. No matter that he is a vet. It doesn't excuse this abusive behavior, especially over tiny dogs!

I don't think he should get his dogs back until a psych eval is done and he's deemed ok to own an animal. I also think that your reporter's continued hounding of him for an interview after he clearly declined was appropriate or professional.
