Republicans could easily say yes to extending subsidies for Americans and no to the other provisions. If Dems say “no” then it’s on them. Not much compromising is going on.

Democrats are insisting on concessions related to health care policy (specifically extending Affordable Care Act health insurance subsidies) to reopen the government. Republicans argue for a "clean" funding bill without these policy changes. CLEAN FUNDING BILL WITHOUT PORK
