It will be cold in Iowa friday. They'll need fire to stay warm. GBR

We go toe to toe with wisconsin every other year, Iowa almost every year, Ohio State for a random 30 minutes, and are in position to beat NW every time. But until these guys start tasting victory and actually get used to it, losing seems to be the narrative. Channeling a little Pelini wouldn't hurt!

Iowa will beat up Big Red at the lone of scrimmage.

No, because as much as I thought Frost was the guy his teams don't improve, they are consistently mediocre to poor and that is coaching. Unless Ten of Iowa's starters go down with Covid there is no reason to expect anything but them being consistently mediocre to poor.

No running game and defensive scheme doesn't work. Can't stop run and play too far off the receivers in the secondary.

Until we prove we can beat the lowest level teams, we surely won't beat a consistent mid-to high level team which Iowa has been. Very Sad State of Affairs.

Iowa is too strong in the trenches, they have a running game, and are a disciplined football team. Unfortunately Nebraska is none of those things.

We cannot run the ball or throw downfield. Unfortunately, it's not going to happen this year. Hawkeyes 45 Huskers 14. GBR

He deserves a shot. We have seen what Martinez can and can't do for 2+ years. Not sure if it is confidence or what, but he seems to have regressed. Being challenged for the starting job may be the best thing for him. Put up or sit down. Hope McCaffery plays well tomorrow! GBR

Better arm velocity and accuracy. Better runner as well.

Give the kid a shot. Some players are practice players and some game players. Let's see if Luke has the "it" factor to elevate the play of those around him. If it's not working we can always see if Martinez is any better coming off the bench.

2 players have said his calling of plays has No cadence or tempo causing off sides or slow blocking, sounds like a coaching problem

We need badly need an offensive spark. Let's give Luke a chance to see if he can provide it.

weve stuck with Matinez long enough. With 2 losses, this season will be a bust. Time to look to the future.

I have been an avid Cornhusker fan my entire life. Martinez is good for a turn-over every game and does not know how to win ball games. Its time to move on to McCaffrey. Sorry Martinez, you're garbage

A.M. has made too many mistakes as a 3rd year starter. time to give L.M. a shot.

Let's see, decisiveness LM gets the edge, running threat LM gets the edge, precision passing LM gets the edge, the only thing Martinez has the edge on is experience which isn't helping him at all.

Martinez is no longer is his freshman self. The O needs a spark, time to let someone else energize it.

We need a spark, and unfortunately Adrian lost his after the 2018 season.

Better passer and greater information processing bandwidth. Use Martinez as a changeup QB and slot receiver. Gotta get all the talent on the field and then use it.

McCaffrey seems to provide a spark to the whole team. He shows decisiveness, leadership and toughness.

Martinez, while talented, waits a second to long with his targets. This gives defense time to catch up. McCaffrey has a faster release and better timing. More playing time will fix his misses.

McCaffrey is a fast blinker and can process the field faster than Martinez. As soon as he came in against Northwestern, I saw receivers like Betts and Flemming catch passes.
