I’ve seen the super Mario brothers movie a few times and at least it takes creative risks which is more than can be said of a lot franchised media now days.

There's only one Super Mario Bros Movie, whereas if I were to watch a Christopher Reeve Superman flick, I know I have better options.

Both bad, but Mario is fun because it's so goofy

Never saw all of this movie, but this has a contingent of people who think it works as it's own weird thing, that even though it's a terrible Mario film it's pretty good sort of surreal fantasy film.

I'd have an easier time riffing it.

I love revisiting this one from time to time. The story how this movie was made and how it flopped is out of this world. Fun fact: directed by the creators of Max Headroom.

SMB movie is actually one of my favorite guilty pleasures. It's not good, but it is fun to watch.

Superman 4 had good intentions.canon films squandered that potential mind you. 4 has reeve's performance, the fun beginning of cw lex in Lenny luthor and raises the question how proactive can superman be.

I personally think Knightfall is the superior story. I love all the character stuff done with Batman learning his limitations and Tim Drake learning to become more independent through dealing with Azrael's radical methods. Bane is also a brilliant villain and perfect foil to Batman.

I've not read Knightfall fully but in my defense I couldn't take it anymore, it is just terrible, the new Batman is more of a failed parody than a real character. At least I could finish No Man's Land.

Knightfall has a tremendous act 1 but things get tricky from there. NML is a great challenge to batman, Gordon and everyone in gotham. The finale with joker and Sarah essen is chilling with a bittersweet killing joke callback.was best aspect of gotham season 5 too.

This would have been really cool to see. I hope they find someone that holds up to his caliber.

honestly to me the whole reason we're exploring this real-estate w/ superman is b/c the buzz about what if michael b jordan played superman.to hear he;s off the table kinda makes it all for nothing in a way.

He is fantastic actor and even with a weak script would probably blow Cavill out of the water

I hate racebending, no matter which way it’s going. It’s racist to change Blade to a white or Asian man, so it’s racist to change Kal-El to a black man.

Does he look like Superman? Like just pick up a comic or movie from the last decade and you tell me if he should play Superman or not

It would be a little weird to meet seeing Killmonger in the cape. I didn't know who Cavil or the Reeves' were before they were Superman, so it worked for me.

I'm not an absolutist about and I can be won over, but I prefer him 2 look like he does in the comics if possible. I'm it's a little hyperbolic to say that Superman's race is a major part of his character, but would still be a little weird, like if they completely changed his costume 2 somethingelse

If they made Superman blond(without a wig or dying his hair) I'd be saying the same thing, a case for can be made for an actor who really nails the character but looks different, but you shouldn't start from the place of trying to make him look different.

Making Superman black is racist. Let's not act like skin color matters. If they had faith in a black character they would make a new one instead of using the Superman brand to convince people to look at it. That's racist.
