I like Raimi as a director more and frankly seeing the first draught of the 89 script makes me like Burton even less. Havent ever really loved 89 as much as others to begin with, sonce I didnt grow up with it.

Raimi cause at least he loves spider-man and would try to make a character driven story about peter , whereas burton doesnt care for batman and another batman film by him would be all visuals and not a character driven story about batman.

Burton Batman, while still a notable and fondly remembered version, is (imo) seeming less influential and culturally relevant the more years that have passed since its release. Conversely, Sam Raimi's Spider-Man seems way more influential again, and is, for me, the more definitive take of the two!

Easy! Burton has yet to make a good Batman movie, Raimi made two great films with Spider-Man.

While I enjoyed both Sam just had more films, Norton only had that one Batman film with Michael Keaton

The Raimi Spider-man films feel like an overarching story without a satisfying ending. I just have more nostalgia for Raimi Spider-man. Literally nothing would make me happier than hearing that elfman spider-man score over the opening credits of a new Raimi Spider-man movie one more time.

It would be a harder choice if it was the Keaton universe without Burton, even than I might have to go with Spider Man, Raimi is the easy choice with Burton the way he is now.

Burton's best days are behind him and even during those he wasn't perfect. Raimi still seems to "got it", even if I haven't loved all of his more recent work either. Plus, his Spider-Man movies ended on a worse note than Burton's Batmans, so there's a bigger need for redemption.

Now I assume that both Tim Burton and Sam Raimi are very different people than when they left their projects, but since there's been less time in between 2007 and now than there is 1992 and now, I assume that Raimi has retained more of his sensibilities that made his version work.

89 is more iconic, the Nolan one is also great.

I always found Zimmer's score for Nolan's Batman trilogy overrated. It's basically just "dun dun dun-dun-DUN" over and over again.

This was a tricky one, as the '89 theme the was my definitive Batman theme for many years, especially due to it's use in the B:TAS intro. However, I now find myself humming themes like the Shirley Walker and Zimmer ones, as I find that they better put me in specific moments from their properties.

10 or even 5 years ago I might have said the DCAU. But by sheer longevity, consistency, and ability to reach a broader audience, I gotta give it to the MCU. DCAU depending on you you ask, has "Batman and Harley Quinn" as part of it's canon.. It lived long enough to see itself become the villain..

I mean see mcu is iconic and legend and earned its continuation anyway. but dceu still had a good start and I still equally think that it has good films and should be continued despite what critics say

I adore the dcau but the mcu had a plan vs the dcau which lucked into success and connecting it all.

DCAU, because it actually has versatility, it's shows are able to all feel different and don't all have the same tone. The MCU gets slightly more or less jokey but even than with the same type of humor, and characters talking the same way(even with different groups of characters!)

Also different episodes of a single DCAU show often feel more different than the MCU movies do.

dcau cause there are no contradictions like they are in the mcu sometimes like shield looking like its a new organisation in iron man but later find out has been around longer, also the thanos in avengers not matching the thanos in IW. And fury actually knowing about aliens since the 90s.

The DCAU pioneered the shared-universe concept and (imo) did it best! Personally, the MCU isn't my preferred "flavor" for the Marvel universe. It's technically impressive, but it's characters don't resonate with me a fraction as much as DCAU's. The DCAU also benefits from the shere hours of content.
