Yes, I like our ODDS against PSU as we most likely won't play them due to a shortened season. I do think we will beat Minny regardless. They are a one year wonder.

PSU is at home as well as Minnesota. PSU is a bigtime club now, going to be tough to win.

We're likely to be underdogs for both. We might upset one of them (more likely the Gophers), but probably not both.

I really don't understand this, Minnesota had ONE good year, ONE, but now all of the sudden they're on this completely different level? Of course Nebraska can beat Minnesota.

I don't see winning either. Huskers are not yet at that level. Huskers will probably surprise us this year both winning and losing games they shouldn't. Looking at a 4-6 season. Hope I'm wrong. GBR!!

At some point in the Frost era the team will need to take a step forward. It will be refreshing to once again expect a winning season rather than debating whether the Huskers can beat MN at home.

Talent on this team is better and they have 3 years under Frost. The system should be clearer. #1 reason is Adrian Martinez will be much better. (Plus I am a "Homer")

But even 5-5 is a good season with this schedule. I see wins over Purdue, Illinois, N'western, Rutgers and Mich St who I believe will be the team we get from the East. All other teams will be top 25

Tough schedule stretch playing Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Ohio State. Those will be top 20 teams or better against a young group of Huskers. Then Penn State later this year? 4-6 seems more likely

I didn't see them getting six wins with the old schedule. The schedule the Big 10 dealt them now is ridiculous. Could see 6 wins with Wisconsin's schedule.

Huskers have not proven it on the field yet, But its coming, I don't think frost knew how bad it was here till he got here. huskers have not controlled the line of scrimmage against the power teams

There isn't going to be a season. They may try it for a couple of weeks but not many fans (maybe alumni) will watch scrimmages on TV. Advertisers will give up and the season will be canceled.

Assuming we keep our current crossover games and then add Maryland then it might happen. Add Indiana or MSU instead then its less likely, but still possible. If its Michigan than not a chance.

We were hoping to get to 7-5 by winning our non-conf schedule - before murderers row @ the end. A 3rd losing season is a very possibility, esp no spring practice. Better to cancel 2020- go big in 2021

Even with all the talent, issues abound with Covid, unsettled execution, player attrition, and a plethora of unknown factors. There are no more pipelines, at least not yet. Go Big Red! Husker for life

ReplyLife without football would be terrible. For the players, fans and coaches. Of course they would follow safety guidelines. The NHL has not had any problems with corona so far - lets use their model!
ReplyIf they can do it safely, then yes have the games. It would be nice to see a variety of schools - maybe some old Big 8 rivals.
ReplyThis would be great. As long as each participant has the same philosophy on testing, then what difference does it make. Maybe stay out of Texas? But what about eligibility if playing more than 4 games
ReplyI think the players need to do what they do. No one is getting younger. For many this season is a chance at something big. The benefits outweigh the risks IMO.

ReplySchedule with whoever still wants to play. You can get Covid going to the grocery store. The players have access to the best medical attention, facilities and testing. Why not play?
Replythey can play all fall sports!!! test the athletes, put them in a dorm and quarantine all of them.
