Safer, but again, why are these kinds of questions being asked? I think I'll do something more meaningful, now.
Reply ReplyIt's safer baked in a dish, I've heard. Stuffed in the bird is tastier, no doubt.
Reply ReplyMade by stove top. I have never had a homemade stuffing that has tasted good.
Reply ReplyI could care less. I don't eat it. I think this method leads to less chance of food poisoning. We never know what goes into boids today.
Reply ReplyRover6rover and I make our stuffing the same way. I put in large amounts of sage too.
Reply ReplyActually NEITHER is my answer. Baked is too dry, in bird too dangerous. So I make luscious homemade moist stove top stuffing with bread herbs onions celery and broth. Prepped beforehand, quick & hot.
Reply ReplyIt’s not entirely safe to stuff it in the bird. My family prefers white meat so I’m roasting two turkey breasts.

The turkey adds tons of flavor and moistness.
ReplyThe stuffing gets more flavor from the bones in the bird.
