Restrictions on public lands should apply to the public at large, which includes locals as well.

Whether running tourists or livestock, every piece of real estate has a carrying capacity. There is an upper limit in the matter of the number of head one can put out on the range.

Everyone should be held to the same standard. We all have a responsibility to limit our impact on the environment.

It would limit residence and spur of the moment use. One of the perks of living here is the easy access to trails, lakes, etc. Maybe require limits only on weekends or major holidays.
ReplyBecause locals deserve first chance at access. Give locals a week to apply first then open it up to outsiders.
ReplyOutside revinue for Oregon is a plus.
ReplyThe tourist and new comers seem to be the ones trashing the place. The trails were not like this during the first few years I lived here (12 - 15/16).
ReplyOf course CO residents should be exempt. I didn't move here 42 years ago to be told I have to stand in line to hike on a trail in my backyard!
