Commented "Poor decision as it will result in farmers/ranchers paying much more in taxes with their minimal population base. The potential money from the County will be minimal and insufficient to support their governing needs and expenses."

Yes. These "Resort Communities" become nothing more than a 2nd home refuge for wealthy out-of-state residents. Their wealth adds little to the local economy, other than higher home prices for county residents. As they say in South County - "Don't Bend La Pine"."
Commented "We live in the Three Rivers area of South Deschutes County and often ride the roads near Sunriver. Our roads are busy w/RV's, boaters, trailers all heading to the High Lakes and skiers on the winter. Many roads lack an adequate shoulder, forcing riders into traffic lanes. "
Commented "Yes, Costco will add to traffic challenges at the North end of town but the traffic in that area has been a nightmare for decades. I blame the mess on the City, County, ODOT and the Feds, for failing to adequately address issues years earlier."
Commented "No longer attend live performances, as my MP3 has great sound that I can enjoy from home. Outrageous pricing and fees!! Too bad - gouging the community just like MB.

Commented "Yes. I bike but have seen a trend in riders ignoring traffic laws and safety rules. More & more the "elitist" mentality of riders, who seem to think laws don't apply to them. This is being exasperated w/new riders jumping into the e-bike craze!
