He is much more vital to the future of the team only being a sophomore and Jok a senior.

It's not even just the games. With this young team he brings the intensity to practice every game that makes everyone around him have to step up their level of play. It'd be easier with this group to replace Joks scoring then Baers intangibles to me. Scoring hasn't been the issue for this team

He has the heart of a champion and motivates all the players around him to be better. You can't coach the passion that Baer brings.

ReplyWins games at the foul line. Period
ReplyCurt Rambis and Phil Jackson weren't MVP's. Jok is a consistent player and a real drawing card for the opposition while on the floor. Not a spark plug.
ReplyI love baers energy and enjoy watching him play but Jok is a premier scorer and you just can't top that in a player. You can get find guys who play will passion and spark the team. But great scores can't just be mustard up.
ReplyThis shouldnt even be a poll. Baer is great but without Jok (yes, I know he was out 3 games against bad teams) there is no way Iowa has 15 wins.
