A short term rental is being rented to a tourist. A houseless shelter invites more trouble to the area. Drugs run ramped in and around these places. As well as crime.

i would rather we didn't have homeless camps/squatters and such in our neighborhood. Stop with the hand outs.

The rental may cause problems for a few days. Shelter will be everyday.

Short term rental occupants often have little regard for the property. They have no prideof place. It's not their's. It's somebody else's prblem as far as taxes, insurance and liability. People in a homeless shelter are more likely to be appreciative and respectful of the space offered.

Exactly! This awful man should never be allowed to own animals for the rest of his life! Once an abuser, always an abuser. No matter that he is a vet. It doesn't excuse this abusive behavior, especially over tiny dogs!

I don't think he should get his dogs back until a psych eval is done and he's deemed ok to own an animal. I also think that your reporter's continued hounding of him for an interview after he clearly declined was appropriate or professional.
