The apartments I live in have even had some people camp on the grass right outside our doors. Interesting that there wasn’t a designated area for them to move into before kicking them all out into the whole community. Now instead of them feeling safe they are constantly moving around.

When I started seeing all these encampments pop up along hwy 97. Is this what Bend wants?? I am disgusted how much we have to pay for a clean up that should have diverted in the first place. Not to mention the drug lord among those on Hunnell. It Infuriates me to see where my tax dollars go.

Duh! Where do you think they would go? I still say buying them a bus ticket to Portland (where they're welcome) is a lot cheaper than continuing to have to clean up their mess at the taxpayers expense.

Many of my students display addictive behaviors regarding their phones, and it has proven detrimental to their learning and social development. Any positive of cell phone use is vastly outweighed by negative consequences.

Long overdue. Students need to focus on being educated in school, not watching videos, playing games, & chatting with each other. Educators and others do not need the distraction that cell cause. If there are emergencies that students need to know about there are other ways for them to find out.

My teaching friends say it's been a battle to keep kids off their phones in class and wastes a bunch of class time time addressing this. How will this be enforced any differently though?
