Good potential rival. Many families, like mine, exist on both sides of this game. You can get together for Thanksgiving, talk some smack, and attend a road game, all in the same weekend!

It is already a budding tradition and they are a border state. Besides, we just don't like them! <g>

there's just a certain amount of venom in this game, border schools, some competed against one another in years past, just a good family brew ha over a ditch bird leg.....

The tradition can continue to build. Both schools are easy to get to, as opposed to Wisconsin or Minnesota. The honoring of a hero is nice, but do away with it as a trophy. Something organic.

I ran out of space. We need a non-sponsored trophy!.. The sponsorship of any trophy makes it seem less traditional. What happens when HyVee backs out? The "Hustler Club Heroes Trophy"?

The Broken Chair is a great example. If I played, that would be what I would like to play for.

Who else wears black? Maybe Purdue would work as well. (Smiley-face emoji goes here.)

Iowa has too many other traditional rivalries. Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa State, etc. NU should play Penn State every year on black Friday.

Iowa does not, never has and never will do anything for me. I think it has been kind of pointless to even continue playing a game on that Friday once the OU and subsequently CU games ceased.

Wisconsin is the team for us to beat. Iowa is average and at times slightly better than average at best. We wanted to beat Oklahoma because they was good, same with Wisconsin. Iowa is blah!!

I believe that in a few years Wisconsin will be our new Oklahoma and I would rather play them every black Friday to see who wins the west.

While I would accept this, I still think Colorado is the perfect Black Friday opponent.

Oklahoma should be our permanent Black Friday or Thanksgiving Day game. One or the other but ONLY Oklahoma.

Iowa isn't a rival and never will be, because they have NEVER beaten us in a meaningful game. Sign me up for Wisconsin or Penn State.

If open, rich schools like Ohio State and Texas would have 300 players on their rooster, which would impact the recruit pool. Of course those who don't play would end up in transfer portal. The scholarship limits helps all schools access to good players. Even with NIL, the scholarship limit helps

Most players don't get to go pro. As a former college walkon, being an athlete and having the $ to pay for college and other things is a huge burden. There is too much as a full time student and athlete to work as well. Opening more scholarships give more kids as much opportunity as possible.

Alcohol will ruin the family environment. I love my Huskers, but may have to give up our season tickets if they ever start selling beer at Memorial Stadium.
