Make Barry Alvarez the Big 10 commissioner and surround him with good advisors and go from there. We can't lose with that. Don't strike out and add things without a top team in place to make the decisions.

Kansas and Iowa State...Kansas obviously strong in basketball and has numerous other athletic programs. Iowa State strong wrestling and doesn't have baseball therefore we back to an even amount of teams. Kick Purdue over to the east to be with Indiana full time.

If B1G can get good traditional football powers, then they should do it. I’m talking teams I with the academic standard they require and are good too. I’d even expand out to PAC12 and down to ACC. See if Notre Dame would reconsider. USC? UCLA, Stanford?

The Big 10 conference officials would be fools to assume the SEC has not already at least contacted Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan regarding joining. The only way to remain a viable conference long-term is to form a super conference to match the SEC's intentions. Strike from a position of power

It will be a cold day in hell before OSU and Michigan or any of the other original 10 depart for the SEC. I don't know what the loyalties are of the newer members, but I'm going to guess that they are also happy where they are as long as the money continues to flow.

Things appear to be moving fast and we certainly don't want to be on the outside looking in.

I say go to 20 teams by adding WA*, OR*, USC*, TCU, ASU, and either Okie St or CO*. Go two 10 team divisions playing round robin and two cross-over (11 total conference games) and 1 non-con. Just don't leave ourselves out of the south market! I don't acre about the AAU*.

We can enhance the conference by adding quality programs. Would love to see ND, KU, and say bye to Rutgers and Maryland. Add a couple other teams that make sense too.

Texas and Oklahoma maybe big name brands, but I don't think Texas is as big of a deal as they seem to think they are. Seriously, what has Texas ever done? They are an underachiever and they will continue to underachieve in the SEC. As for Oklahoma? I see them as being another LSU.

Yes, we have to go big - Go after the top 6 Pac 12 schools I can live wt Kansas if the Big 10 can convinced Norte Dame to join. If not, go after the Pac 12. Then let the orphan 8 & rest of Pac 12 form a conference

Merge the PAC, grab IA ST, Kan, Kan ST TX T from the Big 12, raid the ACC of Clemson and Notre Dame. You then have 32 teams. Use the NFL model You can beat the SEC and then have in one division a Penn St vs Clemson, a Notre Dame vs Ohio St, Oregon vs Michigan.

I like the idea of adding the 9 AAU schools: Arizona, UCLA, USC, Cal, Stanford, Oregon, Washington, Utah and Colorado. I'd then add 1 more team (ND??). 6 4 team pods. play your pod and two other pods for 11 games plus one non conference. should play all teams twice in 5 years.

NU needs a freshman to have a big time impact. Hopefully this is the one.

I've given up any hope of anyone being an impact player until they prove they can actually perform. Too many "BUSTS", including the team, overall.

Having watched him several times now, he needs to develop physically, and even more importantly, must focus on the mental game. He has too many lapses at the high school level. That will be magnified in the B1G

The only recent freshman I thought would be an impact player was Raiola. Barney was a pleasant surprise.

Next season would be the season to do it. Pretty good set up schedule wise and we SHOULD have the talent to make it happen.

1. look at MR history. 2. Look at how MR's aggressiveness at improving coaching and roster. 3. the team has been learning how to win and we are positioned for a break through. 4. Dylan Raiola!!!

Yes. In fact, NU will win 11 games next year. But 3 of the wins will be moral victories. Final record: 8 wins, 3 moral victories, 2 losses.

We replaced 3 coordinators and basically lost our d-line. I haven’t seen any evidence that our o-line will be good next year. We also lost most of our running back room. We’re probably not going to be much better next year than this year.

If Coach Ruhl had made more changes after year 1 (OC, special teams) I would be more optimistic for year 3. But after three games, extra practices, and a bowl game (barely) this year, I haven't seen much to make me think things will be that much better next year.
