What is the point? They rule or serve? What is it they provide to people? They get to be in this position and maintain such wealth because they were born into it? I think it's ridiculous.
Never had a big budget for holidays or birthdays. We have too much stuff already so we concentrate on time together and a few useful thoughtful gifts, often hand-made.
On Christmas, my kids often just ask me for meaningful advice. They are in their fifties, and they have learned enough to know, that they can always learn more. We still give each other the benefits of our skills that we have acquired over the years. These gifts are priceless, and they last forever.
Christmas commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ, believed to be the Son of God. The celebration focuses on the Incarnation, or God becoming human.
You don't need money to celebrate that.

ReplyThe UK will preserve the royal family to keep the tourists coming. They make a ton of money from tourism.
ReplyThey don't hold any real power anymore, so it's all just a waist of time and space.
