Yes. Years and years ago I had a truck for sale on consignment at a local used car lot. In the middle of the night the carburetor and other parts were stolen. When the investigation was over they found that it was the car lot owner that had done it.

I had a stock option wire hub cap taken off my '67 Olds Cutlass convertible. It was irreplaceable.

I dont need to. Because they are bad for the engine I had my mechanic replace them with regular mufflers.

Absolutely - it helps keeping honest people from being tempted! …oh, and I have lost faith in my fellow humans, so I actually always lock everything.

Yes. When the car is locked, the alarm is on. Why bother with steeling from a car with an alarm when I can do the same without any noise from another car. Also, Safety. Unlocked cars allow people to enter and hide on the floor behind the driver. You are open to assault.

Of course. Why would I not lock it?

I lived in the SE, I don't trust anyone after having my vehicle broken into so many times.

I grew up not having to do it so habit is to not worry about it. Nobody would want anything I have anyway...lol

I don't ever leave anything thing in my car that is worth risking a broken window.

I never keep anything of value in the car. I figure by not locking it I can avoid the hassle of replacing a broken window.
