He may not be as purely talented, but there is nothing but winning in Scott Frosts veins. He is a champion. That is why he'll be a fantastic head coach too. He is a winner. Simple as that.

Crouch could beat you with his legs but Frost was the best leader and the toughest.

Both were great, but Frost could do everything Crouch did and was more of a leader.

I'd go with Frost as he was a fierce competitor who wasn't afraid to run someone over when necessary. The national championship was icing on the cake. Why wasn't this Frazier vs Frost?

Actually I would do it Tommie Frazier

Agree, no offense but they're competing for second place after Touchdown Tommy.

Scott for leadership qualities, drive and toughness. While Eric was the better runner, Scott was the better option QB.

Scott Frost was just the better athlete and competitor. He the one with the undeafeated season and National Championship.

I believe he had just a little more drive

Could have picked either one and been happy. Scott wasn't as fast but I do believe he was the tougher runner.

He is a born winner who would do anything to win or help his team. Play offense or defense and do it well.

tough call for me, Scott Frost just had or has an attitude about him, he ran angry. I guess the question i would have is what would crouch have done with that 97 offensive line and coach Osborne

Eric Crouch

Eric Crouch had to carry the load of the offense. Scott was good too, but had better support and more weapons. Eric was faster, quicker as a runner, better instincts on the option. He also had better arm strength. Scott was bigger and stronger as a runner, a more vocal leader though. Close call

Tough call but Crouch with his legs.

They were both terrific, but if we are comparing players (not teams) - it isn't very close. Eric Crouch could carry a team; he wasn't just 'fast' - he was tough and had a great will to win.

Scott had a better team around him. I believe Crouch was the better athlete and overall quarterback. I would pick him as my QB. Now compare to Gill, Gdowski, Taylor, Frazier...

If Crouch played for Osborne he'd have had even a better career. Not knocking Solich but it was clear the team fell off after Tom Os' departure.

I guess Tommy F, is assumed to be preferred choice over either Frost or Crouch?

These are impossible questions, but Turner Gill is my all time favorite. He changed the position at Nebraska, and had the ideal combination of elusiveness, toughness, leadership, and passing skills.

I feel it ease worries a LITTLE bit. I think he has already talked to his friend Pat, AD at Penn State, and was told that Penn State Alumni want someone more proven than Rhule. So, Rhule is way down the list.

No, it means nothing, he is gone or he woulda squashed it and said he was taking his name out of consideration and he didn’t.

What else would he say...It really sucks here??? He hasn't said, "I'm not interested in the Penn State Job".
