When traveling I like to have a backup weapon to be able to arm my wife or daughter while I drawn off any trouble that may approach us. At home I carry one weapon.

If martial arts classes are considered self defense classes, then yes. If you mean the silly classes where you are told to wait until you throw a punch in a specific area and then talk about it for 5 minutes, my answer would be NO.
