If the athletic department let's it be known that there are available seats... people who don't usually get to go will snatch them up. All the fans who take it for granted can stay home and pout. Those of us who want to go to a Husker game will show up and raise hell

You have to raise hell because the game is now secondary due to poor performance

It’s all they have left of their once stories program. Now it’s just hope followed by all the stages of grief. Sad.

I say yes but.....only if Frost and Co can come through with a career saving season. If Frost and Co are gone with games still to play, then probably not!

The streak is a joke now anyway. It's not packed and we all know the local businesses buy up tickets to keep it going. Let it go and focus on upgrading the facilities and the actual football product we put on the field.

Neb will not win another game. Mickey Joseph cannot do this by just showing up. The defense is horribly inept. The Blackshirt program is a joke.

I believe that the premium prices(and donation) for season tickets does not match the product on the field and has not for a decade. Somethings got to give.

Its over this season because we will likely not beat Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Purdue or Iowa and it is up in the air whether we can even beat Rutgers, Illinois and Indiana. Our defense just looks too weak and offense is still too inconsistent.

First game is always vanilla on offense. They will try to establish the run with basic run formations.

Slightly more runs than passes... if we are smart. Or it's going to be a long year.

Oline should dominate a transfer portal depleted Northwestern front and get the practice running the ball that is needed to win in the BIG.

They will play to win. The way to win is to grind Northwestern down.

I feel we should get a somewhat comfortable lead and start grinding out 1st downs via the run game. But if Oline under-performs and forgets to show up? All bets are off.

It will likely be balanced, but slightly more runs. Whipple likes running.

Whips will probably stick to a 54/46 ratio. I know they will be seeking as much balance as possible. An early lead would help balance things back to near 50/50. Early on as they go on attack, I think it may start out close to 60/40.

It'll be pretty close to a 50/50 split, but I'll give the slight edge to the run game. From what I've read our run blocking is better than our pass blocking right now. Much like the TO days I can envision a run heavy 1st & 2nd down to avoid 3rd and longs.

There will be swing passes and screens that will act as substitutes for runs, loosen up the D and spread the defense.

Give him time to see if he can figure out a winning formula here. It's not like anyone else has been successful. Not much to lose. It's too bad there has been so little success. I think Husker fans would be overly supportive of the program especially with some improvement.

Let's face it. With a few rare exceptions, Husker basketball has never been better than mediocre at best. Let's give Fred plenty of runway to turn things around. We certainly don't have much to lose (pun not intended).
