I have no problem with it. Many other countries recognize the importance of leave for certain situations and have long-instituted laws allowing it. The US is so work-oriented, people burn out or lose their job when they need to take leave.

We need to get people back to work, not give them more excuses and reasons to stay home and get paid for doing nothing,

Way too much room for fraud and unnecessary time off putting a burden on your employer and fellow workers. Why should I have to pay for people to take off work?

It’s the same logic as alcohol. You can enjoy drinks and still own guns. But you should never handle a firearm while intoxicated!
