I have, but not in a while. Eventually I noticed it was a "career choice" by many of these folks. If it feels right I'll still do it, but not as a habit.

Most of people begging drive newer vehicles than I do and have been told make more money than working and don't pay taxes

I can afford it, the problem is I do not know what the money will be used for. I know Christ said not to ask, however, that would not be a good steward. Then too, there are plenty of food banks.

Not enough food banks, with little to no "real" food in them (protein, etc). Canned garbanzo beans. Yay. Often outdated, too. There's a real problem, for sure.
I know the feeling of one check away from trouble, & I know how $1, 5, can help. It's not for me to judge, so I don't care what they use the money for. I also sometimes take hot food back to them.
